Baxters' Cattle Company would like to welcome you to our web site. We raise performance Quarter Horses here in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, Canada. Each year BCC has a series of Team Cattle Penning Shows as well as Gymkhana Shows.
We also offer team penning clinics and lessons, training - basic training or cattle specialized, performance Quarter Horses for sale by AQHA & NFQHA stallion Deer Run Badger Bar.
Baxters' Cattle Company offers a regular circuit of Team Cattle Penning events - May through September. There are three divisions: Open, Amateur, and Youth. In addition we provide penning shows at the Annapolis Valley Exhibition and Prince Edward Island Exhibition. BCC has expanded to include a barrel show circuit offering Division 1, Division 2, and Youth Division.

A Solanos Peppy San grandson, he is cowy, quick and athletic with a wonderful temperament. "Junior" has won numerous Championships and Reserve Championships in Team Cattle Penning and Barrels/Poles. Recently he has been shown in more events, placing well in Pleasure classes and winning Reining, Western Riding and Trail classes. Junior is producing talented horses that are now currently competing successfully in team penning, gymkhana, 4H, pony hunter and dressage.
Our performance bred broodmares all have their own show records including multiple Championships along with outstanding dispositions. They have competed in various events: team cattle penning, barrels and poles, reining and cutting. Grandaughters of Nifty Pep, Tiger Leo, Big Bullet Bar, Mr Redford, Doc O'lena. Bloodlines also include King, Leo, Pep Up, Clabber Bar, Mr King Leo Bar, Parkers Trouble, Robert Redford, Colonel Freckles, Doc's Prescription.
Future broodmares are a Crackin Hickory daughter - Doc's Hickory x Crackin (Smart Little Lena x Lynx Melody) out of Dry Doc Freedom, Anita King 86, Doc Quixote mare and a CD Rio daughter - CD Olena (Doc O'Lena x CD Chica San Badger) x Play Chex Rio (Freckles Playboy x Doc Olena Chex) out of a Doc's Lynx, O' Happy Day, Barrachone mare.

Cattle
Our cattle herd consists of limo, charlois and black angus cross feeder cattle. They are used for team penning shows, clinics and training. Sold each fall, they are soon replaced for the upcoming season.
